GHMC to slap notices for throwing waste in manholes

Musheerabad: GHMC standing committee member and Ramnagar Corporator V Srinivas Reddy visited Chupchap Lane, beside Bus Bhavan at RTC X Roads, and inspected the drainage lines in the colony, along with GHMC officials.

During his inspection, he found some manholes without covers, in which waste was thrown by the shop owners of the nearby commercial complex. He instructed the GHMC waterworks officials to ensure that covers are placed on the manholes and to issue notices to the shop owners who threw the waste into the open manholes. Speaking to media, Srinivas Reddy said that necessary legal action would be taken against those who throw waste into open manholes.
