Heavy rain forecast: special arrangements for Ganesh Idol Immersion in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In view of heavy rain forecast across the Telangana state , Telangana Energy department was making foolproof arrangements for Ganesh Idol immersion on September 25 ( Friday)

Jitesh V. Patil (IAS), Chairman & Managing Director of Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) said that safety of the devotees and uninterrupted power supply during Ganesh Idol immersion procession was give top priority.

He said, "In view of the heavy rains, TGSPDCL officials, engineers, and staff have been working round-the-clock in a state of high alert since September 13. We have taken all precautionary measures to prevent electricity-related accidents at Ganesh pandals, procession routes, and immersion sites. We urge devotees to cooperate by strictly adhering to electrical safety guidelines."

He stated that all 11kV and LT power lines underwent special inspections ahead of the immersion festivities. He noted that poles, transformers, distribution boxes, junction points, AB cables, and electrical equipment were examined, and necessary repairs were also completed.
