Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao announced on Monday that once the party returns to power in Telangana, the government will integrate artificial intelligence into all public departments. Speaking at the official launch of the CampusHub AI product in Hyderabad, KT Rama Rao commended four individuals from rural backgrounds for developing the platform, noting that their entrepreneurial spirit serves as an inspiration for youth to pursue ambitious goals.
Recalling the previous BRS administration's extensive emphasis on expanding the technology sector, KT Rama Rao stated that society must adapt to the global era of artificial intelligence. He described AI not as a threat but as a beneficial tool for human progress, highlighting its growing role in modern education. He referenced prior BRS initiatives, including an AI-based agricultural project implemented in a Sircilla village to provide farmers with data-driven insights into crop cultivation under the Artificial Intelligence for Agriculture Innovation framework.
Tracing technological advances from legacy landline telephones to modern smartphones and driverless vehicles, KT Rama Rao emphasized that AI will play a decisive role in shaping future governance and industry. He argued that technology ventures need not remain concentrated exclusively in urban Hyderabad, praising an entrepreneur named Rakesh for establishing an IT company in rural Parkal. KT Rama Rao urged the current state government to actively promote AI applications while ensuring the technology is utilized strictly where necessary and safeguarded against potential misuse. Expressing confidence that BRS will regain office in two years, he reiterated the party's commitment to seamlessly embedding artificial intelligence capabilities across every state administrative department to streamline public service delivery.
