Hyderabad: The State School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha announced on Thursday that a state-wide monthly Parent-Teacher Meeting will be conducted on September 19. The comprehensive initiative covers all government schools, local body institutions, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, and Telangana Model Schools across the state. Officials stated that the scheduled meeting will center on the theme "Partnering with Parents, Powering Every Child's Learning".

During the event, headmasters and teachers will conduct individual and class-wise reviews with parents to evaluate student progress, foundational learning outcomes, and academic support requirements prior to convening general sessions. Additionally, school administrators will collaborate directly with families to tackle absenteeism, foster regular classroom attendance, and maintain total student retention. Under institutional and community development components, the programme actively engages parents in campus upkeep and broader educational development activities as vital community stakeholders.

The department directed all headmasters to extend formal written invitations to parents through students before September 17, targeting 100 per cent parental attendance. Schools were explicitly instructed to provide flexible scheduling to accommodate parents engaged in seasonal agricultural labour in rural areas or daily wage service employment in urban pockets.
