Osmania junior doctors to protest over long-pending issues
Hyderabad: Osmania Medical College Telangana Junior Doctors Association announced a demonstration outside the Osmania General Hospital main gate at 8.30 am on Monday to highlight long-pending deficiencies impacting resident training, working conditions, and patient care.
Association representatives stated that despite repeated representations submitted to hospital authorities, critical infrastructure deficiencies continue to impede departmental functioning and postgraduate clinical education.
Stressing that healthcare residents have waited patiently for genuine administrative improvements, representatives emphasized that current operational circumstances demand immediate, time-bound solutions.
Consequently, the association called upon interns, undergraduate students, postgraduate residents, senior residents, and departmental representatives to assemble in large numbers.
Participating medical departments have been requested to show solidarity by suspending elective outpatient department services and elective operation theatre procedures during the demonstration, while ensuring emergency wards and critical healthcare services remain fully operational without interruption.
