Hyderabad: The Telangana government has decided to relax certain norms under the Indiramma housing scheme to facilitate the release of funds for beneficiaries who have already commenced construction of their houses.
Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the decision was taken following the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and representations from public representatives regarding difficulties being faced by beneficiaries. In a statement issued on Monday, the minister said the government had approved a one-time clearance for houses sanctioned through the Indiramma housing portal that had reached the basement level or beyond. Such houses will be upgraded from L3 to L1 status, enabling the release of funds to eligible beneficiaries.
