Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday said that seditious elements, backed by foreign funding, were conspiring to storm the Parliament and the Prime Minister’s residence like the events seen in Bangladesh.

Bandi Sanjay called upon all citizens to unite and deliver a strong, fitting response to such anarchic forces. He urged students, the youth, and people from all walks of life to participate in large numbers in the ‘Save Democracy’ mega-rallies, scheduled for November 2 in Hyderabad and November 5 in Karimnagar.

Following the recent passing of Kummarikunta Rajeshwari, mother of RSS worker Sudhakar, the Union Minister Bandi Sanjay visited her residence in Peddapalli to offer his condolences to the family.

Later, talking to the media, Bandi Sanjay said, “The Election Commission of India is weeding out bogus votes through its verification process. It is removing the names of deceased individuals from the electoral rolls and correcting instances where the same person is registered in three or four different locations, ensuring the entry remains in only one place.

What is wrong with this? For instance, former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao passed away in 2004, yet his name remained on the electoral roll. It has now been removed as part of this verification exercise. I must ask who carries out this verification process. It is the Booth Level Officers (BLOs). They operate under the control of the State Government, and the State holds authority over them. So, how is the BJP involved in this?”

Sanjay further said, in the Maheshwaram constituency, individuals who migrated illegally before 2014 have not only secured voting rights but were also benefiting from government welfare schemes, including the allocation of ‘double-bedroom’ houses.
