He held a review meeting on punctuality, safety and passenger amenities through video conference here on Tuesday. Principle heads of departments, Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded took part in the meeting.
Gajanan Mallya emphasised upon monitoring punctuality of MMTS Train Services in twin cities and also obtain the feedback from travelers on the introduction of new 12 Car MMTS Rakes which are being pressed into service from May 1. He advised Divisional Railway Manager's of Hyderabad and Secunderabad Division to depute officers to conduct field study and get feedback on passenger experience on additional facilities provided in the new coaches.
He instructed the Officials to take all the possible measures to gear up the issues which are impacting on the maintenance of punctuality. He particularly emphasized on maintenance of over head equipment (OHE), signaling equipment, track maintenance and speed restrictions which have been identified as the causes for loss of the punctuality.
The General Manager discussed in detail on subjects pertaining to Safety over the Zone. Later, the RailTel officials made a brief presentation on the features of the e-office, the merits and its implementation on SCR.
