Hyderabad: Sri Triveni School celebrated Bathukamma and Dasara with enthusiasm and traditional fervour on Friday. Students and staff actively participated in preparing colourful Bathukammas with flowers, reflecting Telangana’s rich cultural heritage.
The programme was graced by Bodla Mallikarjun, recipient of the Potti Sreeramulu Memorial Award, and Dr Bandaru Sujatha Shekhar, a renowned writer, the first research scholar on Bathukamma and recipient of the International Women Achiever Award.
K Goverdhan Reddy, Director and Correspondent, and M Sharada, Principal, participated in the celebrations along with staff and students. Dressed in traditional attire, the students added colour and vibrancy to the occasion.
The celebrations highlighted the cultural significance of Bathukamma and the message of Dasara— the triumph of good over evil. The programme aimed to promote cultural awareness, unity and respect for Indian traditions among students.
