Yogi Babu’s ‘Singaram’ locks Oct 30 release
Actor Yogi Babu has been roped in to play the lead role in the upcoming Tamil comedy and family entertainer Singaram, which is slated to release worldwide on October 30. The film, directed by KV Kathirvelu, who was earlier associated with Rajavamsam, is produced by Raack Productions.
As per the sources, Yogi Babu has been casted as a member of the Narikuravar community. The story revolves around his struggles and the discrimination he faces on a daily basis. It traces his journey as he learns to take up his rights, dignity, and self-respect.
A mix of comedy and drama, Singaram promises to engage the audience while delivering a positive message about life. It portrays various social issues and challenges faced by people while fighting against all odds. The film features actors such as Vela Ramamoorthy, MS Bhaskar, Maria Vincent, Charms, Aarthi Ganesh, Manobala, Kalki, Marimuthu, Sendrayan, and Deepa Shankar, along with Yogi Babu. A. S. Ramana Balaji and Padmavathi Gandhi have produced the film.
Prasanna S Kumar has shot the visuals while Sam C.S. has provided music to the film. It has been edited by Lawrence Kishore and the art direction has been done by Gururaj.
