Nalgonda girls’ football team wins state Jr championship

Nalgonda: The Nalgonda district junior girls’ football team emerged victorious in the state-level Junior Girls’ Football Championship held in Nizamabad. The team secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Rangareddy district in the final to clinch the championship title.

Earlier, the Nalgonda team defeated its opponents 3-1 in the semi-final to qualify for the final. Congratulating the players, United Nalgonda District Football Association President Bandaru Prasad and General Secretary Bommapala Giribabu extended their wishes to the entire team for its performance.

The association congratulated the FIFA-level football players, athletes from the Hakimpet Sports School, district-level players, coaches and physical education teachers who played a key role in the team’s success.

The association office-bearers appreciated the dedication and teamwork displayed by the players throughout the championship. They said the achievement was a matter of pride for Nalgonda district and reflected the growing talent and potential among young women footballers in the region.

The association also acknowledged the contribution of the coaching staff and physical education teachers in preparing the players for the state-level competition.
