Demands funds for constituency devpt

MLA K Rajagopal Reddy
Munugodu: Local MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy has expressed strong dissatisfaction over the state government’s alleged failure to allocate funds for the development of Munugode constituency, stating that he had approached the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister several times but had not received even a single rupee so far.
Speaking at a retirement function held in Munugodemandal on Saturday, he questioned why the people of Munugode were being denied development funds despite the constituency being one of the most backward regions in the state and among the worst affected by fluoride contamination. Rajagopal Reddy pointed out that development works worth Rs9,000 crore had been launched in Kodangal constituency. Clarifying that he was not opposed to Kodangal’s development, he urged the government to extend similar attention to Munugode and other backward constituencies. “You are fortunate to have become the Chief Minister. I do not question that. But just as Kodangal is being developed, backward constituencies like Munugode should also be identified and given their rightful share of funds,” he said. He also criticised the Congress leadership over the selection of its candidate for the Graduate MLC election.
He said that despite requesting the party to allot the ticket to a BC (Backward Classes) candidate, his suggestion was ignored, and the ticket was given to a person who had aspired to become an MLA from Suryapet. Stating that he was not afraid of anyone, Rajagopal Reddy said he always stood by what he believed was right and would continue to fight for justice.
He urged the state government to respond immediately and allocate adequate funds for Munugode’s development, stressing that the people of the constituency deserved equal attention and opportunities.
