Kurnool: The famous Kolanubharathi Temple, a subordinate shrine under the administration of Srisailam Devasthanam, is all set to celebrate the maiden “Shakambari Utsavam” for Goddess Saraswati on Friday, August 7.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, Temple Trust Board Chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu and Executive Officer (EO) M Srinivasa Rao stated that this special festival is being conducted at the shrine for the very first time for universal welfare and global prosperity.

As part of the traditional Shakambari Alankaram, the presiding deity will be elaborately decorated with a vibrant variety of leafy vegetables, fresh garden produce, and seasonal fruits, followed by solemn religious rituals.

The temple management highlighted that local devotees and philanthropic donors are extending active support for the festival’s execution.

Under the guidance of Trust Board member Chittibotla Bharadwaja Sharma, donors are supplying the required volume of organic produce and floral materials needed to adorn the sanctum.

Outlining the festival schedule, officials announced that rituals will commence with Suprabhata Seva at 5:30 AM, followed by specialized morning rites from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM. General Darshan and paid Arjitha Sevas will be open to pilgrims from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Midday rituals and Maha Nivedana will take place between 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM, followed by an afternoon recess. Public Darshan will resume at 2:30 PM and continue until 5:00 PM, after which final evening pujas will be performed before temple closure. The authorities appealed to devotees to attend in large numbers.
