GMR reviews arrangements for Kurumurthy Swamy Brahmotsavams
Mahabubnagar: Devarkadra MLA G Madhusudan Reddy and District Collector Khushboo Gupta directed officials to make elaborate arrangements for the Kurumurthy Swamy Brahmotsavams, scheduled to be held from November 10 to 25 at Sri Kurumurthy Swamy Temple near Ammapur village in Chinnachintakunta mandal. They reviewed arrangements at a district-level coordination committee meeting on Friday.
In view of the ongoing ghat road works, the MLA suggested restricting vehicles from proceeding uphill.
He also directed RTC officials to operate sufficient buses according to the rush of devotees, particularly on November 16, when the Uddala festival will be held.
Officials were asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply, complete road repairs, provide mobile toilets and prevent unauthorised liquor sales. The MLA said a master plan was being prepared to develop the temple into a prominent spiritual centre in the future.
Collector Gupta directed the departments concerned to establish an integrated control room at the festival premises and install signboards to guide devotees.
