Nalgonda: Roads and Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy will attend the Telangana Praja Palana Day celebrations to be held at the Police Parade Grounds here on Thursday, September 17, informed District Collector B Chandrasekhar.

The Collector directed officials to complete all necessary arrangements to conduct the celebrations on a grand scale.

On Wednesday, Collector Chandrasekhar, along with District SP Sharath Chandra Pawar, inspected the arrangements at the Police Parade Grounds. He instructed officials to provide drinking water, tents, chairs and other facilities for those attending the programme.

The Collector said the chief guest would address the people of the district after hoisting the national flag, followed by cultural programmes presented by school students.

Officials were directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, a public address system, first-aid facilities and other essential arrangements at the venue.

The Collector instructed the District Revenue Officer and RDO to ensure that invitations for the celebrations are delivered to the Legislative Council Chairman, ministers, Members of Parliament, MLCs, MLAs and other elected representatives.

He also directed all government institutions and offices across the district to celebrate Telangana Praja Palana Day in a grand manner. Municipalities and gram panchayats were asked to invite local elected representatives to their respective programmes and strictly follow the rules governing the hoisting and display of the national flag.
