Nalgonda girls selected for TG junior football team
Nalgonda: Three girls from the erstwhile Nalgonda district have been selected to represent Telangana at the National Junior Girls’ Football Championship beginning in Chhattisgarh on September 25. Erstwhile Nalgonda District Football Association president Bandaru Prasad and general secretary Bommapala Giribabu said S Amulya, K Roopa, and K Akshara were selected for the Telangana State team for the national-level tournament.
All three players are Class 10 students of Jyotiba Phule Girls’ Model High School at Appajipet. They have been excelling in football with the encouragement and support of school principal Aruna Kumari, physical education teachers Mamatha and Dhanalakshmi, and other teaching staff.
The district football association congratulated the three players on their selection and expressed hope that they would perform well at the national championship and bring laurels to Telangana and Nalgonda district.
