Big relief for 22-A victims
Hyderabad: In a major relief to the people whose own lands are listed in Section 22-A prohibited list, the Telangana government announced the registration of such properties with valid approvals from government bodies.
State Revenue Minister P Srinivas Reddy said that open plots, houses, and flats developed with valid legal permissions from the respective government authorities, even if they were previously classified under the '22-A' category, were permitted for sale and registrations.
The new order applies to properties that have obtained valid layout, building construction, or apartment permissions from the GHMC, HMDA, municipal bodies, DTCP, or other urban and rural local bodies.
The applicants must submit at least one 'link document' regarding registrations made after the permissions were granted. Stating that the government has already initiated action to resolve the '22-A' issue through a fast-track process, the Minister announced the formation of a district-level committee to examine and resolve any issues arising during this process.
The committee would comprise the district collector, additional collector (local bodies), district registrar, and representatives from the HMDA, municipal bodies, or rural local bodies.
Srinivasa Reddy clarified that the government would not consider the lands falling under Section 22-A indiscriminately and instead examine the nature of the land, available records, statutory permissions, and legal aspects to provide prompt solutions for eligible cases.
He also highlighted the issuance of a memo in accordance with GO 118 to address the regularization of homes in approximately 64 colonies across Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts, as well as the key decision taken via GO 76 to resolve the long-pending issue of regularizing homes for Singareni workers.
