Avail govt schemes, Mayor advises people
Nellore: City Mayor Devarakonda Sujatha Ashok conducted a door-to-door visit in Varadhi Centre area of 53 Division in Nellore city on Friday. She interacted with residents and enquired about their local problems. She directed the officials concerned to take all necessary measures to resolve the issues brought to her notice.
The Mayor instructed sanitation staff to ensure systematic and planned sanitation management in the division. They were also directed to regularly undertake desilting of drains and remove accumulated silt and waste.
She appealed to residents to segregate wet and dry waste and hand it over separately during door-to-door garbage collection to facilitate proper recycling. She also advised eligible people to apply for old-age, widow and other pensions to avail government welfare benefits.
Municipal Corporation officials, ward secretariat secretaries, staff, TDP 53 ward president Sudhakar Reddy and others were present.
