KIMS Hospitals celebrates World Heart Day
Nellore: KIMS Hospitals marked World Heart Day on Tuesday with a 3-kilometer walk and ambulance rally in Nellore, drawing 500 participants from VRC Grounds to Dargamitta.
Squash star Aparajitha and GGH Medical Superintendent Dr Madhavi graced the event as chief guests.
Highlighting the theme “No heart survival without movement,” doctors organized a 30-minute Zumba session. Senior cardiologists Dr CS Srinivasa Raju, Dr D Saheb Peer, Dr H Nagaraja Rao, and surgeon Dr P Lokeshwara Rao urged citizens to exercise, avoid tobacco, and manage hypertension, diabetes, and obesity.
Hospital leadership and the VRC Walkers Association participated enthusiastically.
