New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday met star cricketer and youth icon Sanju Samson and congratulated him on joining Team Delhi.
Sharing a message on X, the Chief Minister said, “Sanju shares a special bond with Delhi, where he spent his early years and began his cricketing journey.”
“Now, as Brand Ambassador of Jan Kaushal Kendra, Moti Nagar, appointed by the Madan Lal Khurana Foundation, he will inspire Delhi’s youth towards skills, opportunities and self-reliance. MLA Shri Harish Khurana Ji, senior members of Trinity Foundation and IACT Education were also present,” she said on X.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister welcomed young travel influencers and digital creators from Chhattisgarh at the Delhi Secretariat.
“Over the next five days, they will witness the changing Delhi taking shape under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiJi and share its development story through their own lens and creativity. A Viksit Delhi in the making, with many stories worth sharing,” said the Chief Minister on X.
During the day, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the ‘Virasat Club Scheme’ for government school students to educate them about the city’s rich heritage.
In a message on X, the Chief Minister said, “On the second day of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ organised on the occasion of the birthday of the Honourable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, the ‘Virasat Club Scheme’ was inaugurated today.”
“In the first phase, Virasat Clubs will be established in 75 CM Shri Schools in Delhi, after which it will be opened in all government schools. Our effort is that the children of Delhi do not just read about their rich heritage in books, but know it, understand it, and develop a sense of pride and responsibility towards its preservation,” wrote the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, Education Minister Ashish Sood and Tourism and Art and Culture Minister Kapil Mishra were also present on the occasion.
