Delhi govt to hold blood donation camp to mark Modi’s b’day
New Delhi: Delhi government will organise a mega blood donation camp at Thyagaraj Stadium on Thursday, with 11 government hospital blood banks supporting the drive, Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said on Wednesday.
The drive is among events being held to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The blood banks will deploy medical teams and equipment and provide cold-chain facilities for collection and transportation of blood, the minister said after inspecting preparations at the stadium.
“Delhi is witnessing tremendous enthusiasm for this mega blood donation drive. I appeal to people to come forward in large numbers and donate blood voluntarily.
