DPCC floats Rs 9-cr tender for Delhi-wide video surveillance
New Delhi: The Delhi Pollution Control Committee has floated a tender worth an estimated Rs 9 crore to supply, install, and integrate a city-wide video surveillance and pollution monitoring system, officials said on Friday. According to the October 14 bid document, the tender includes the procurement of a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera, with bids scheduled to open on November 5.
The camera specifications include a minimum image-sensing capacity of five megapixels, optical zoom of more than 40 times, infrared illumination and support for onboard storage of up to 1 TB or higher. The document also requires a security testing certification for the CCTV system from the Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) laboratory or another agency notified by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 21 in the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) conference hall in Delhi’s Shastri Park. This follows the inauguration of 13 new Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (CAAQMS) installed by the DPCC across Delhi and an Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s IT Park in Shastri Park. These initiatives aim to improve pollution monitoring and better coordinate efforts to tackle environmental violations, officials said.
