Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday condoled the death of veteran actor Nana Patekar, saying he truly lived every character he portrayed. Patekar, known for his versatility and powerful screen presence, passed away at his Goa residence early Thursday. He was 76. “I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of renowned actor Nana Patekar ji... It is very difficult to believe that he is no longer among us... He did not just act, but truly lived every character he portrayed... His outstanding films of the 90s and his distinctive style will always remain in our hearts,” Mann said in a post on X in Punjabi. Senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia also expressed grief over Patekar’s death. “Deeply saddened by the passing of veteran actor @nanagpatekar ji. His powerful performances, simplicity and unmatched talent earned him a special place in the hearts of millions.
