Rajamahendravaram: District Collector Kirti Chekuri has directed officials to ensure speedy and satisfactory disposal of public grievances after 171 petitions were received at Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme held at the district Collectorate on Monday.
Of the total petitions, 83 were related to Revenue Clinic. The Collector reviewed the progress in disposal of petitions received so far, pending grievances and dissatisfied complaints with the officials concerned.
Department-wise, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development received 36 petitions, Home 22, Agriculture and Cooperation five, Municipal Administration and Urban Development four, and Health, Medical and Family Welfare and Energy three each. Minorities Welfare, Higher Education, and Industries and Commerce received two petitions each. Transport, Roads and Buildings, Women and Child Welfare, Water Resources, Labour, Civil Supplies and School Education received one petition each.
At the Revenue Clinic, 23 petitions concerned Records of Rights (RoR), 15 re-survey issues, and eight each related to land encroachments, F-line petitions and other issues. Four petitions sought deletion from the 22(A) list, while three concerned encroachments. Registration services, caste certificates and land acquisition received two petitions each.
