Hyderabad: The Sudha Reddy Foundation and MEIL Foundation on Monday announced the third edition of Pink Power Run, an international half-marathon and community fitness initiative, to be held on September 27 at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road. The event is expected to attract more than 20,000 participants and offers a Rs 75 lakh prize pool, with awards for over 100 winners. The event was announced at a press conference attended by Sudha Reddy, Founder of the Sudha Reddy Foundation and Director, MEIL, Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata Chuangsri and breast oncosurgeon Dr Pragnya Chigurupati.

For the first time, the event will feature an official 21.097-km half marathon certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), along with 10-km, 5-km and 3-km categories.

Sudha Reddy said the initiative aimed to promote fitness, preventive healthcare and breast cancer awareness. Dr Chigurupati stressed the importance of early detection and regular health check-ups.

As part of the social impact programme, the Foundation has partnered with AIG Hospitals for ‘Miles for Mammograms’. For every 100 km collectively covered by participants, the Foundation will sponsor one free breast cancer screening and one mammogram for an underprivileged patient.

A global virtual run has also been introduced, with free registration.
