Tirupati: TTD employees should work with honesty, discipline and dedication, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, and provide better facilities to devotees visiting Tirumala for Srivari Darshan, said TTD JEO (Health and Education) Prabhala Gopinath.
He paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi during a programme at TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Friday. He said that working in TTD, a sacred institution visited by millions of devotees from across the world, was a privilege and an opportunity to serve. He urged every employee to serve devotees with a sense of responsibility and humanity. He stressed that maintaining cleanliness and hygiene was everyone’s collective responsibility. He recalled that Mahatma Gandhi united people through truth and non-violence during the freedom struggle and worked for social equality and the welfare of all sections of society. He called upon everyone to follow Gandhi’s ideals in their daily lives.
