Vijayawada: Endowments Department Secretary K Kannababu said elaborate arrangements were being made to conduct the Dasara Mahotsavams of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada on a grand scale and provide better facilities to devotees. The festivities will be held from October 10 to 20.
Kannababu said modern technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), would be integrated into the arrangements to strengthen security and enable devotees to have a quicker and more convenient darshan.
At a review meeting held at the AVS Reddy Hall in the NTR District Collectorate in Vijayawada on Monday, Kannababu discussed the arrangements with NTR District Collector Dr G Lakshmisha, Police Commissioner SV Rajasekhar Babu, VMC Commissioner HM Dhyanachandra, Endowments Commissioner K Ramachandra Mohan and temple EO VK Seena Naik.
Collector Dr Lakshmisha said arrangements were being made to handle a turnout of up to 20 lakh devotees. The Police Commissioner explained security measures, including a QR-code-based child tracking system, while the VMC Commissioner reviewed sanitation, drinking water and mobile toilet arrangements.
