Vijayawada: Wrestlers from Krishna district won 13 medals at the 70th School Games Federation of Andhra Pradesh (SGFAP) Inter-district Wrestling Championships held at Karampudi in Palnadu district from October 10 to 12, Krishna District School Games Secretary P Ravi Kumar said on Wednesday.
In the Under-14 category, Amar Kumar and Simran of Nunna Zilla Parishad High School won gold medals. J Lohith secured a silver medal, while D Vamsi, K Gowtham and Jayashree won bronze medals.
In the Under-17 category, Mahalakshmi won a gold medal. P Deepika, T Veena Madhuri, D Santosh and Hemanth secured silver medals. CH Thunil of Chaitanya College won gold, while K Sai Rishik of SKPV secured a bronze medal.
Ravi Kumar congratulated the medal winners and appreciated the efforts of the coaches who guided the district team. The coaches were MV Satya Prasad, T Srilatha, T Vijay Varma and GB Sai.
