Vijayawada: As part of the Youth Time Bank initiative, launched with the inspiration of NTR District Collector Dr G Lakshmisha and completing 150 days, a community service programme was organised at the Government General Hospital in Vijayawada by the NSS unit of Vikas Group of Institutions (VGTN), Nunna, on Thursday.

During the programme, students assisted patients, guided them to various sections of the hospital and participated in cleanliness activities.

The organisers said the Youth Time Bank initiative provides an opportunity for young people to utilise their time for community service and contribute to the welfare of society.

NTR District NSS Coordinator and District Tourism Officer Dr Kolleti Ramesh said students should come forward with a spirit of service and actively participate in community-oriented programmes. College Principal Dr PS Srinivas advised students to actively participate in programmes aimed at benefiting society. College secretary N Satyanarayana Reddy said youth-led service activities could make a meaningful contribution to social development.

College NSS Coordinator Shekhar Reddy coordinated the programme.
