Three students go missing at Rushikonda beach
Visakhapatnam: Three students went missing after they ventured into the sea at Rushikonda in Visakhapatnam on Friday.They came with a group of students to spend time at the beach stretch. According to police, strong waves dragged them deep into the sea.
Locals and professional swimmers rushed to the spot when the rest of the group raised an alarm. Despite their efforts to retrieve the missing students, aged between 14 and 15, the boys could not be traced.
Police launched a rescue operation with professional swimmers, marine police and community guards. The incident occurred near IT Hills in Rushikonda. As many as six students went into the sea.
The missing students were identified as Prashanth, Surya Prakash and Nitish.
