Visakhapatnam: In a tragic road accident, two Telugu women, mother-in-law and daughter, died in Australia.

The incident took place on September 16 night at Point Cook, Melbourne due to fatal collision.

Both the mother-in-law and daughter, who were from Visakhapatnam, succumbed to serious injuries.

They were identified as Neha Bommali (33) and Ramadevi (67), who travelled from India to spend time with her grandchildren. Meanwhile, the 53-year-old man driving Porsche suffered

minor injuries and is currently under police investigation. Investigation is in progress.

The women died after another car collided with their vehicle at the intersection.

Emergency services rushed to the incident scene to carry out rescue operation but both the women died on the spot.

The Telugu community is raising funds to help the family shift the bodies to India to perform last rites as per the Hindu traditions.
