In Short
According to EDII, around 70 per cent of trained women entrepreneurs are successfully running their businesses, contributing to sustainable livelihoods and financial independence.

Khanapur: The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) is empowering rural women through skill development and entrepreneurship training across 30 locations in the erstwhile Adilabad district of Telangana. Women are receiving practical training in bamboo products, handmade jewellery, handbags, mushroom cultivation, food processing, detergents, soaps, millet-based products and other small-scale enterprises.
According to EDII, around 70 per cent of trained women entrepreneurs are successfully running their businesses, contributing to sustainable livelihoods and financial independence.
The initiative aims to train 1,650–1,680 women and establish 120 group enterprises, benefiting 1,200 women. EDII also provides six months of handholding support, including branding, MSME/Udyam registration, marketing guidance and market linkages.
Project Officer Bukya Devender said the initiative seeks to transform women’s skills into sustainable businesses and promote economic self-reliance in rural communities.
