Kalyanalakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak aid brings cheer to 54 families
Hanumakonda: Financial assistance under the Kalyanalakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes was distributed to 54 beneficiaries in Palakurthi mandal on Monday. MLA Mamidala Yashaswini Reddy handed over the cheques to beneficiaries at the MLA camp office in the mandal headquarters. Each beneficiary received financial assistance of Rs 1,00,116, with the total amount distributed standing at Rs 54,06,264. The welfare schemes are aimed at extending financial support to economically weaker families towards the marriage expenses of their daughters.
Speaking at the programme, Yashaswini Reddy said the Congress government was committed to ensuring that eligible beneficiaries received the benefits of its welfare schemes without delay. She said the government was taking steps to strengthen welfare measures and provide support to poor families.
The MLA congratulated the beneficiaries and wished them and their families well. She also urged eligible families to apply for and utilise the welfare schemes being implemented by the government. Local public representatives, Congress leaders, party activists, officials, beneficiaries and their family members attended the programme.
