Sircilla meeting focused on personal attacks, not development: BRS leaders

Sircilla meeting focused on personal attacks, not development
Rajanna- Sircilla: BRS leaders on Wednesday criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s meeting in Sircilla, alleging that it focused more on attacks against former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and BRS working president KT Rama Rao than development and public issues. Former minister Gangula Kamalakar, former minister Jeevan Reddy, former MP Boinpally Vinod Kumar, MLAs Padi Kaushik Reddy and Dr Sanjay, and former MLA Rasamayi Balakishan raised questions over pending projects and welfare schemes.
Kamalakar demanded that the Chief Minister produce evidence for the allegation that KTR was involved in the alleged encroachment of 8,000 acres. He said several projects, including the Karimnagar cable bridge, riverfront and collectorate, were initiated during the previous BRS government.
The leaders sought clarity on new projects, the pending railway bridge and the reported halt of the ‘Worker to Owner’ scheme for handloom workers.
They also demanded revival of the scheme, release of the second instalment of Dalit Bandhu in Huzurabad, Rs 1,000 crore for the constituency and a white paper on the handloom sector.
