Prime Minister Narendra Modi became emotional as he was listening to Dehra Dun-based Deepa Shah, a beneficiary of Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana under which generic drugs are made available at affordable prices.

Shah told PM Modi during his scheduled video-conference that she had been struck by paralysis in 2011 and was being treated at a hospital. She could not speak at that time and she had recovered enough to speak now.
Earlier, her medicines used to cost over Rs. 5000 Deepa Shah told the prime minister. Now the cost of generic drugs sold through Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana came to Rs. 1500, she said. Shah told PM Modi that doctors had given up on her and now she had recovered to a large extent.
Shah broke down saying she had not seen God, but she sees PM Modi as an incarnation of the Divine. On hearing her say this, the Prime Minister turned emotional. A video of the moment shared by the news agency ANI on Twitter went viral.
