BJP strategises for local polls

Dhenkanal: The BJP’s district executive committee has outlined strategies for the upcoming three-tier panchayati raj and urban local body elections, focusing its campaign on the developmental initiatives of the Modi-led Union government and the BJP-led State government.

Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra called on party workers to visit villages and spread awareness about the pro-people policies and development work of the Central and State governments. Patra stated that the State’s work is progressing well and the party is operating in a disciplined, systematic manner.

The proceedings began with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the party office, followed by a sapling plantation led by Patra and the lighting of ceremonial candles. The day-long session reviewed the party’s recent performance and established a strategic roadmap for the upcoming panchayat and municipal polls. The leadership instructed workers to consolidate the organisation at the booth level and actively highlight the government’s development track record to voters ahead of the local elections.

District BJP president Rasa Bihari Behera stated that the party owes its foundation to its dedicated workers. He emphasised that the party will honour the 2024 public mandate by deepening community trust and reaching out to citizens through various government welfare schemes.

State BJP vice-president Jatin Mohanty said that the welfare and development initiatives of both the State and Central governments will serve as their true testament.
