Inform about child labour, people urged

Guntur: Assistant Labour Commissioner of Guntur district Chava Asha Rani requested people to inform them about presence of child labour in their vicinity.

She said children below 14 years of age are not allowed to work. If people notice any children working in petrol bunks, cinema theaters, medical shops, cell phone shops, kirana, fancy, hardware, transport companies, industries, and working as maids in the houses, they can share the information with the department by calling 9492555152 immediately.

She promised to keep secret informants’ information. “Engaging child labour is crime. It is responsibility of the everybody to check child labour and furnish information about child labour,” she added.
