Vedic maths, abacus help gain knowledge
Narasaraopet MLA, Dr Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy said that by learning Vedic Maths and Abacus, knowledge of students will increase.He participated in the prize distribution programme of National Vedic Maths and Abacus competition held at NSM Public School here on Sunday.

About 1,100 students from 10 states participated in the national-level competition organized by the Raja Educational Academy.Addressing the gathering, Dr Srinivasa Reddy said there was a need to learn abacus and Vedic Maths. He informed that before development of technology, Indians calculated the distance between earth and the sun with the knowledge of Abacus.
Former MLA Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao, national competition organizer Maturi Padmalata and others spoke.
Prizes were given in Abacus to juniors and seniors categories and in the Vedic Maths, they distributed prizes for juniors, seniors along with the consolation categories separately.Dr Maturi Ranga Rao, Siva Sankar and the parents of the participants were present.
