jaganHyderabad: YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday urged the Principal Special Court for CBI cases to deem the chargesheet filed by the probe agency on April 8 as the final chargesheet in view of the Supreme Court order. Jagan's advocate filed a memo stating that the CBI has given an undertaking to the Supreme Court on October 5, 2012 that it would complete investigation and file 'one final charge sheet'. The petitioner reproduced a few lines of the Supreme Court order which said, "Parasaran stated that the CBI is investigating without wasting any time and he assured the court that the investigation will be completed as early as possible and on completion of the investigation, the CBI shall submit one final chargesheet." Jagan's advocate also said that contrary to the undertaking the CBI has filed a chargesheet only in relation to one out of seven aspects referred in the Supreme Court order. However, the prosecution said that there was no order by the Supreme Court directing the CBI to file only one chargesheet. Also, the CBI did not give any undertaking to that effect. Instead, CBI advocate Parasaran made an oral statement in the court and that does not prevent CBI in any manner from filing chargesheets as and when investigation was completed. The Principal Special Judge U Durga Prasad refused to accept the contention of the petitioners advocates saying it was not the right forum to argue the point and asked them to move the Supreme Court.
