TRS to focus more on Hyd

Hyderabad: Aiming to strengthen party base in Greater Hyderabad region, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has decided to conduct month-long training programmes for party functionaries and supporters in State capital from December 1 onwards. Through this programme, the pro-Telangana party is even hoping to silence political opponents who have been arguing that there was not much support for statehood demand in Greater Hyderabad limits.

The party took the decision at Greater Hyderabad review meeting held at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday. TRS secretary general K Keshava Rao chaired the meeting which was attended by in-charges from 24 constituencies under GHMC limits besides leaders Kattela Srinivas Yadav and D Shravan.

Apart from training classes, TRS resolved to reach out to Telangana supporters and voters in 24 constituencies by undertaking door-to-door campaign from December 1 until 31.

Meanwhile, Keshava Rao called upon the Greater Hyderabad unit of the party to mobilise party functionaries and Telangana supporters in big numbers for the one-day Deeksha Diwas programme to be staged at Indira Park on November 29. It may be mentioned here that TRS is organising this programme marking the fourth anniversary of KCR’s fast-unto-death.
