NGOs Poll Result Won’t impact Samaikya stir: Ashok Babu, APNGOS president Ashok Babu. He reiterated that APNGOs is committed for the cause of Samaikyandhra and appealed to the people not to worry about the outcome of the election.
Says APNGOs fully committed to the cause of Samaikyandhra
Srikakulam: APNGOS president Ashok Babu said that the outcome of APNGOs elections will not have any impact on the Samaikyandhra movement. He was speaking at APNGOs meet at Srikakulam on Wednesday. He reiterated that the employees have the responsibility to take forward the movement.
Ashok Babu said that the elections scheduled to be held to the organization on June 30, 2011 were postponed due to technical reasons. He said that the Association decided to conduct elections on January 5, 2013, on the advice of legal experts. He called upon the employees to fight for their rights and to keep the state united.
Ashok Babu ruled out the rumours of differences among the APNGOs leaders and termed them as a handiwork of vested interests. “Whoever wins elections he would lead the Samaikyandhra movement,” he added. He said that an action plan for Samaikyandhra movement would be chalked out soon after the elections. Ashok Babu claimed that the organization leading the seven lakh employees is only a part of the Samaikyandhra movement.
He reiterated that APNGOs is committed for the cause of Samaikyandhra and appealed to the people not to worry about the outcome of the election.
Ashok Babu said that affidavits in support of Samaikyandhra would be taken from MLAs. The resolutions passed by village panchayats would also be sent to Governor, President and Lok Sabha Speaker. He announced that an all party meet would be held on December 28.
An NGOs leader Srinu demanded Ashok Babu to clarify the organisation’s stand on bifurcation.
He said that there is confusion among the NGOs as there is no clarity about the commitment of political parties for the cause of Samaikyandhra.
APNGOs secretary Chandrashekara Reddy, leaders Chowdary Pushottam Naidu, Hanumathu Sairam and others were present.
