Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party Honorary President Y S Vijayamma on Sunday put onus on the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu for the introduction of the Telangana Bill in the State Assembly for debate.
Speaking to newsmen on the sidelines of participating in Republic Day celebrations at the party head office here, she said the Telangana Bill would not have been tabled in the State Assembly had the Chief Minister and Naidu opposed it strongly enough. The inability of the two leaders brought 10 crore Telugu-speaking people under great distress.
Vijayamma also found fault with them for their strong opposition to the Bill at the end of the debate on the Bill in the Assembly. The two leaders should have raised their objections on the Bill when it was introduced in the House.
Claiming that YSR Congress was the only party fighting for united Andhra, she said her party was ready to align with any political party in the fight against the division of State.
