Hyderabad: Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, A Telugu Desam Party senior leader, urged the Election Commission to scrutinize the candidature of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to contest in the polls. He addressed the media on Friday and said that YS Jagan has committed a crime by producing the fake affaidavits as the evidence for his assets and liabilities. He wondered how Jagan could declare his assets as Rs 411cr once Enforcement Directorate itself has seized his assets worth Rs 1011cr.
It is worth mentioning here that YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday filed an affidavit along with his nomination for the Pulivendula Assembly constituency, claiming his family assets to be worth Rs 416 crore. He does not own any vehicle. The 21-page affidavit with four annexures puts his own asset value at Rs 344 crore and that of wife Bharathi Reddy at Rs 72 crore. Cash in his hand was Rs 39,000, while Bharathi had Rs 45,000. Jagan had declared the value of his assets in 2011 as Rs 445 crore. He said his investments in various companies were of the value of Rs 307 crore and of Bharathi Reddy Rs 46.56 crore.
The YSRCP leader said his jewellery was worth Rs 28 lakh. Bharathi was in possession of nine kg gold and diamond jewels. Jagan’s income in 2012-13 was Rs 13.90 crore, while that of Bharathi was Rs 4.21 crore. His service tax due was Rs 3.94 crore. An amount of Rs 66.68 crore was involved in disputes with the government. Jagan said ten CBI charge-sheets were lodged against him. A case was under investigation in a Kamalapuram court. Along with an Enforcement Directorate case, three other cases were at FIR stage.
