Kakinada: Late on Sunday, the campaign car of YS Sharmila thumped a two wheeler and injured two youngsters. But, at the time of this incident, Sharmila was not present in the car involved in this accident. According to the sources, after concluding her campaigning at Karapa on Sunday evening, Sharmila left for Visakhapatnam in another vehicle.
In the same vehicle (car) which was used for Sharmila’s campaign at Karapa, in the meantime, a gunman along with the driver were on their way to Kakinada, when it punched a bike. The youth riding the bike sustained injuries in this incident and were immediately rushed to the government general hospital. With the involvement of the YSR Congress Party activists the duo were later shifted to a private hospital for better treatment. A case has been booked and investigations are on.
