Telangana-Seemandhra Border: Details of Check Posts. As the appointed day for the formation of new states - Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (residual) is approaching, all is set ready for the bifurcation.
Hyderabad: As the appointed day for the formation of new states - Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (residual) is approaching, all is set ready for the bifurcation. As many as 8 check posts are made ready in the border of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states by the road transport department. These check posts will be considered as the inter-state borders and for the sake of checking, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Assistant Motor vehicle Inspector, Constables of transport department and home guards will be appointed before the appointed day. The check posts will be from either end. The staff will be appointed from the respective district in which these check posts will befall. The details of the check posts are appended below:
- At Alampur in Mahabubanagar district on Hyderabad-Kurnool Highway
- At Eegalapenta of Mahabubnagar district and Sunnipenta on Kurnool district on Kalwakurthi-Srisailam Road
- At Macherla of Guntur district and Nagarjunasagar of Nalgonda district on Devarakonda-Macherla Road
- At Dacheppali of Guntur district and Vishnupuram of Nalgonda district on Miryalguda-Ongole Road
- At Garikapadu of Krishna district and Kodad of Nalgonda district on Vijayawada-Hyderabad Highway
