Drought-hit AP regions list out

According to a government order released by the Andhra Pradesh government, 226 mandals across seven districts in AP have been hit by severe drought. The AP government has declared these regions as drought-hit.

The number of mandals under affected districts as per the Go are

• Anantapuram 59
• YSR Kadapa 48
• Kurnool 12
• Prakasam 54
• Chittoor 42
• SPSR Nellore 7
• Guntur 4

Poor and below average rainfall is the cause for the drought situation in these regions. The GO has called for necessary action by the collectors soon.
