The two-judge PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyothi Sengupta and Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar closed the writ plea filed by Kovvur Bar Association complaining against the poor upkeep of the road-cum-rail bridge connecting the two Godavari bridges. The bench pointed out that in view of the forthcoming Pushkarams, no action can be taken.
Hyderabad: The two-judge PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyothi Sengupta and Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar closed the writ plea filed by Kovvur Bar Association complaining against the poor upkeep of the road-cum-rail bridge connecting the two Godavari bridges. The bench pointed out that in view of the forthcoming Pushkarams, no action can be taken. Kovvur Bar Association sought a judicial review on the Road-cum-Rail Bridge connected about 3 decades ago and its poor maintenance. According to the petitioner, the bridge was repaired recently at an estimate cost of Rs 3 crore but yet again fell into state of disrepair and poor maintenance.
