The three day Mahanadu by TDP began on Wednesday at Gandipet on the outskirts of Hyderabad where TDP Chief and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu paid tributes to party founder N. T. Rama Rao and inaugurated the 34th conclave by lighting the lamp and unfurling the party flag.

On the eve of the TDP Mahanadu, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a blood donation camp and a photo exhibition.The three day conclave is to be attended by ministers from the central government, Ministers, MPs, legislators from AP and Telangana.The first Mahanadu after the state’s bifurcation is expected to elevate the regional party to a national party and form two separate committees for the two Telugu states.

The inaugural limelight was taken by Nara Lokesh who is likely to be inducted into the central committee along with NTR's sons Harikrishna and Balakrishna. With party's yellow flags, welcome arches, banners and cut-outs of party leaders decked up for the occasion at Gandipet, the inaugural highlighted the rich cultural traditions of both AP and Telangana.


Issues like AP special status, poll promises, AP capital city construction, national status to Pranahita, Chevella and Polavaram projects will be discussed at the Mahanadu and 34 resolutions are proposed by the party - 21 for AP and 13 for Telangana.
