Run for Road Safety

MJ Naidu Super Speciality Hospital will organise a ‘3k Run for Road Safety’ Today to mark Gandhi Jayanti and its anniversary. Dr MJ Naidu, managing director of the hospital, on Thursday said Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao would flag off the run at Padavalarevu Centre at 6 am and it concludes at Meesala Raja Rao Bridge on BRTS Road. The 3k Run is meant to promote safe driving in the wake of increase in number of road mishaps in the city.

It is also aimed at educating people in general and youngsters in particular on the importance of following traffic rules and wearing a helmet while riding a two-wheeler. We are launching a free ambulance service to mark the occasion as shifting the road mishap victims to hospital within the Golden Hour helps save their lives,’’ Dr Naidu said.
