At the meeting held at MB Vignana Kendram, members registered their names for forming a committee to fight for protecting the interests of people in relation to the availability of PWD Grounds. They are all set to give a memorandum and represent the problem to Chief Minister of the State and Krishna District Collector.
Speaking on the occasion, Tax Payers Association secretary and founder member of the Vijayawada Citizens Forum MV Anajneyulu opined the government need not invest so much on demolishing and again construct at the same places for camp office of CM.”
Advocate Sampara Srinivas questioned when there was no money with government, why should it waste money on demolishing and construction works at the same place.
Driving Schools Association of Swarajya Maidan representative Sk Subhani, Farmers Association representative K Srinivasa Rao, Rotary Club of Vijayawada former president Ch Saichand, Industrial and Agriculture Exhibition Society representative Prasad Babu, Firework Traders Association secretary K Kodandaramaiah stressed the need for allowing Swarajya Maidan for public activities.
